Gratitude
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! We have so much to be thankful for and we appreciate all the continued love and prayers. We are so happy to be in our home--we did get the door on the bathroom yesterday, so you can come over and not worry about not having any privacy. Taryn is making applesauce and Jaclyn is making gingerbread--they are loving being back in their kitchen--me, too!! We are slowly unpacking boxes and trying to reorganize our home. Hoping to have all contractor work complete by next week. With the holidays upon us, me taking a graduate on-line course, Den traveling a lot, and just the day-to-day activities--it is a slow process. This morning I received an email from one of our Camp Sunshine families and she sent these beautiful words on gratitude (I have copied it below). It really captures how important gratitude is and to focus on the positives--which is what we try to do each day. I think that is what gets us through our journey. We pray that everyone have continued health, happiness, love and an overflowing of gratitude in your hearts. May today be filled with laughter, good food, family and friends, and countless ways for you to be thankful!! God Bless.

GRATITUDE
To be grateful for what is, instead of underscoring what is not. To find good amid the unwanted aspects of life, without denying the presence of the unwanted. To focus on beauty in the little things of life, as well as being deliberate about the great beauties of art, literature, music, and nature. To be present to one’s own small space of life, while stretching to the wide world beyond it. To find something to laugh about in every day, even when there seems nothing to laugh about. To search for and to see the good in others, rather than remembering their faults and weaknesses. To be thankful for each loving deed done by another, no matter how insignificant it might appear. To taste life to the fullest, and not take any part of it for granted. To seek to forgive others for their wrong doing, even immense ones, and to put the past behind. To find ways to reach out and help the disenfranchised, while also preserving their dignity and self-worth. To be loving and caring as much as possible, in a culture that consistently challenges these virtues. To remember to say or sent “thank you”for whatever comes as a gift from another. To be at peace with what cannot be changed. ~Joyce Rupp

We love you all and celebrate everyday,

Please pray for Elizabeth and Greg as they need extra prayers at this time.
